Fooditude has taken a major step towards its goal of operating a fully electric fleet by 2030, increasing the proportion of electric vehicles from 10% in 2025 to 70% in 2026.
As London’s leading delivered-in caterer serving workplaces across London from its 20,000 sq ft production kitchen in South Bermondsey, efficient logistics are central to Fooditude's operation. Despite travelling 18% further in 2025 than the previous year, Fooditude reduced diesel consumption by 9%, while diesel consumption per mile fell by 23%. These improvements were achieved at an early stage of the transition, when only a small proportion of the fleet was electric.
With a much larger share of the fleet now electric, Fooditude will be tracking the impact on transport emissions throughout 2026. While there is still work to do, this represents a major milestone on Fooditude's path to achieving net zero by 2040, and Fooditude are committed to maintaining this momentum.
Kate Page, Head of Impact at Fooditude, said: "Moving towards a fully electric fleet is an important milestone in reducing the environmental impact of our operations. By investing in cleaner transport solutions, we're continuing to make meaningful progress towards our impact goals while maintaining the reliable service our clients depend on."
