For over 15 years, Fooditude has built a strong partnership with Highshore School, creating food experiences, opportunities and work placements for students to inspire and develop the next generation of hospitality professionals. From getting hands-on with chef-led food workshops to employability sessions and supporting school celebrations, we have worked alongside Highshore School to boost the confidence and skills of their pupils.

Developing New Skills

To build knowledge, skills and experience within the community at Highshore School, we lead sessions with the pupils every year to introduce them to the world of hospitality and the wide range of careers it offers.

Work Placements

Every academic year we offer pupils two work placements, helping young people gain experience in a professional kitchen, explore the diversity of positions available to them in the hospitality industry and learn vital workplace skills for the future.

Practical Food Workshops

Various sessions take place throughout the year designed for pupils to get involved in practical food workshops with Fooditude chefs where they learn skills such as pizza making, protein ball rolling and cupcake decorating.

Workplace Skills

We hold employability sessions for the pupils at Highshore School, covering CV writing, interview preparation and workplace skills so that young people can prepare themselves for working life and explore what the hospitality industry has to offer.

Supporting School Events

Throughout the year, we get involved in school events, cooking for celebrations such as prom, sports day or graduation. Each event allows us to support the school in marking their milestones and build a long-lasting relationship with them.

Celebrating as a Community

Most recently, we attended the Highshore School graduation ceremony. Celebrating the achievements of this year's students and watching them grow in confidence and explore the many possibilities of a career in hospitality are the most rewarding parts of our partnership.

We're especially proud that two students, Denaye and Charlie from Highshore School, who previously took part in our work placement programme, are now part of our Fooditude team. It's always a pleasure to see young people go from school sessions with us to pursuing careers in hospitality.

The Impact of How We Show Up

Partnerships like this are how we dedicate ourselves to showing up with consistency and care, delivering positive experiences for not only our clients, but also our communities. Collaborations with organisations such as Highshore School are excellent examples of how we share good food and good practice, and inspire younger generations to see what hospitality has to offer.

It has been fantastic to watch our relationship with Highshore School develop over the years. We look forward to continuing our work together, supporting students as they develop new skills and build confidence, and creating opportunities for future generations as they take their next steps.
