In the lead-up to International Women’s Day, we spent time with both clients and suppliers celebrating some truly remarkable female chefs. We created menus inspired by the work of Chef Nieves Barragán, Chef Anna Haugh, Chef Dominique Crenn, and Fooditude’s own Chef Elizabeth Mackenzie. It’s always inspiring to see how food can bring people together, creating a genuine sense of community.

Alongside these menus, we also hosted a Hip Pop pop-up at one of our client locations, shining a light on the value of natural, nutritious alternatives. Here’s a closer look at some of the events.

Hip Pop Pop-Up

Founded in 2019 by Emma and Kenny, the brand was born from a desire to move away from sugary, artificially flavoured soft drinks and offer something more natural and gut-friendly. What started in Emma’s kitchen has grown into a refreshing alternative that proves soft drinks can be both nourishing and enjoyable.

Celebrating Female Chefs at the Sodexo Panel

One of the standout moments of the week was our panel event with Sodexo. For this occasion, we served a selection of finger foods, each dish celebrating a different chef. The menu paid tribute to Chef Anna Haugh, Chef Dominique Crenn, and our own Chef Elizabeth Mackenzie, with highlights including carefully crafted sliders and a colourful take on the classic Battenberg cake.

Experiences like these play an important part in bringing people together- celebrating talent, encouraging connection, and showcasing the value and the care that goes into the dishes that are served.
